Judy Kazz (nee Willoughby) has been an educator who has worked with children of all ages for 31 years. She has taught all the grades in both elementary and secondary schools and has been an elementary school principal in Ottawa, Canada. Her children's stories have always delighted and informed her primary school students. In addition to The Porcupine That Wanted to Be Hugged, she has written a series of 12 "Fumble Bumble-Bee" books, four of which are listed on this site. She has also published Open Your Eyes a book of multi-cultural poems and a guide book for classroom use. She writes children's stories in English and in Spanish.

David Egerton was an engineering and mathematics professor for many years in Ontario, Canada He has co-authored a math text, Technical Mathematics with Calculus S.I. Edition, that is currently being used in universities and colleges in Canada. He has also published two engineering texts. As an artist, he enjoys illustrating children's books. David Egerton and Judy Kazz are a husband and wife team. They are retired and living in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. When not creating children's books, they are busy travelling and managing their antique business.
